Tommy Lasorda is both drunk and high. Or just old.

Yeah I'd officially like to change the headline from "Tommy Lasorda is both drunk and high" to "Tommy Lasorda is just old."

What? I can't change the title once it's been published? Oh, OK ...

Lasorda, Baseball Hall of Fame manager and outspoken ambassador of Major League Baseball, was asked about the NBA's ban and fine of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, a longtime friend of Lasorda's.

Lasorda, at first, said:

I’ve been a friend of that guy’s for 30 years, it doesn’t surprise me that he said those things. That doesn’t surprise me. And he shouldn’t have said it, and he just hurt himself by talking too much and doing things that he shouldn’t be doing."

OK, that sounds about like everyone else. The guy said that stuff all the time, and shouldn't have.

THEN, Lasorda said this:

And I don’t wish that girl any bad luck, but I hope she gets hit with a car.”

Thanks, Grandpa Lasorda.

Pretty sure that is what everyone has thought, but no one has said.

Maybe he should have remembered that first thing he said, about "hurt(ing) himself by talking too much."

Tommy, Tommy, Tommy.
