It's the best day possible for "Twin Peaks" fans.

The show was pulled off the air back in 1991 after just two seasons, but it's making its way back. Variety is reporting Showtime will air nine episodes in early 2016.

Series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost are working on the script, but aside from a video Lynch posted announcing more episodes are coming in 2016, very little is known about the plot or even what characters will appear.

“For those followers of the show who felt bereft when the show ended where it did all those years ago are going to like where it goes from here,” Mark Frost assured. “And we hope that a lot of people who haven’t been to Twin Peaks yet are going to be equally interested in where the story goes from where we left off.”

We'll keep you updated...and will invite you to have a nice slice of pie in celebration.

What characters do you want to see come back? The Log Lady, for sure.
