The way Twin Peaks promotion has gone so far, neither Showtime nor David Lynch are likely to give up too many details (or footage) before the May premiere. That said, a few new teasers of Showtime’s revival catch us up to speed on the major bookending events of the series, to say nothing of a controversial film and some fine coffee.

Where previously creator David Lynch could only offer that controversial prequel-sequel Fire Walk With Me would play a part in the 18-episode revival, Showtime’s latest Twin Peaks teasers refresh viewers on some of the major events to play out in the 1990 ABC drama. Specifically, the murder of Laura Palmer (which was theoretically solved, but still hangs over the series), and the Season 2 finale possession of Agent Cooper by the villainous Killer BOB.

Showtime also tellingly uploaded the Fire Walk With Me Trailer, and … why not, a refresher on good coffee’s prevalence in the series:

As it is, the first two season are available to rewatch in Showtime’s library, as well as Netflix. New cast includes the likes of Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Tim Roth, Ghostbusters alum Ernie Hudson, Walking Dead star Josh McDermitt, and musicians like Eddie Vedder (who contributes a song) and Trent Reznor. Twin Peaks star Madchen Amick’s return is also set, alongside Dana Ashbrook, Sheryl Lee, Michael Horse, Sherilyn Fenn, the late Miguel Ferrer, David Patrick Kelly, Richard Beymer and fellow new additions Ashley Judd, James Belushi, Naomi Watts, Tom Sizemore, Laura Dern, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Peter Sarsgaard, Robert Knepper, Amanda Seyfried and Balthazar Getty.

We’ll hear more details in the coming months, but what other major Twin Peaks events will inform the revival?
