Virginia Man Awarded $500,000 After Anesthesiologists Trash Talk Him [Video]

A Virginia man was awarded half-a-million dollars in a defamation and medical malpractice suit after he caught his anesthesiologist openly insulting him and mocking his merrymaker while he was knocked out for a colonoscopy.

And, it was the ultimate gotcha. WARNING: They were talking about his junk, but in medical terms.

The patient had set his phone to record so he wouldn’t miss the doctor’s post-op instructions. But when he pressed play after the ordeal, he heard the medical staff joking that a rash on his ramrod was “probably tuberculosis in the penis” or “penis ebola.”

In the audio recording, the anesthesiologist gets personal, telling the guy, “After five minutes of talking to you in pre-op, I wanted to punch you in the face and man you up a little bit.”

She also belittled him for being afraid of IV needles, saying, “Well, why are you looking, then, retard?”

Another gem recorded was, “Round and round we go. Wheel of annoying patients we go. Where it’ll land, nobody knows.”

A juror explained how easy it was to award $500,000 to this guy… “There was not much defense, because everything was on tape.”

Remember, kids, if you can’t say something nice, be sure to sweep the room for bugs before you say it.

The guy ended up getting hundreds of thousands of dollars for having his feelings hurt. Not a bad day at the office.
