Help an island out, will you?  

Mackinac Island is up against the best islands in the U.S. in a fight to the death (OK, maybe not death) and we need to knock Hilton Head, S.C., off the top.

The USA Today travel site, 10Best.com is hosting the competition, which rates on islands based on the following criteria: beauty, accessibility, variety of terrain, things to do, wildlife, local culture and popularity.

The best thing about Mackinac Island? It still looks like it did in 1896. The only thing that changes is people's clothes.
