This month's Wee Difference charity is the Grand Rapids Student Achievement Foundation (SAF). Executive Director Michele Suchovsky joined the Jojo Show this week to discuss what the fund does, who it impacts and how you can help.

The Grand Rapids Student Achievement Foundation has taken on the big responsibility of filling in the gaps where school budgets fail. Their success stories are many, but there are so many small ways that you can chip in.

In our conversation, Executive Director Michele Suchovsky talked about how the Foundation keeps the playing field level for the over 17,000 students in the Grand Rapids city schools.

She also brought up:

* An example of one student who will be the first in his family to go to college, thanks to a SAF program.

* The five areas the SAF helps students achieve in: The Arts, Literacy, Physical Wellness, Math and Science and Environmental Education.

* The importance of funding athletic programs.

* The small ways, including "Stuff The Bus" that people can help out the SAF.
