Food... some of my greatest debates have been over food and what is good, and what is bad. It seems like most of the food I enjoy — others don’t. But that’s OK, because it just leaves more for me.

Buzzfeed recently did a post on “19 of the Weirdest American Supermarket Foods, According to an Australian”. It seems that Australians have a problem with a lot of our canned items — canned frosting, canned dough, canned hash browns, and cheese in a can. How can anyone not like Hershey’s Kisses?!? Leave it up to those crazy Aussies!

Many years ago, we had a listener who lived in Australia. She would listen to us over the internet. She sent us a jar of Vegemite to try. To this day, it was probably one of the worst foods I have ever tried — but those crazy Australians love the stuff. On the other hand, here in the U.S. we like our peanut butter and Australians think we are crazy.

I will agree with them on a couple of items on their list… No one really needs Blueberry Pancakes and Sausage on a Stick. And I’ll pass on the Pancake and Sausage Sandwiches.

If you’d like to see the whole list, here is the link for the “19 of the Weirdest American Supermarket Foods, According to an Australian”.

Now to be fair, Buzzfeed also did a post for the “23 Australian Foods That Americans Will Never Get to Enjoy”. And I will admit, there are a few things on the list that sound kind of yummy. However I’m still going to pass on the Vegemite and Chiko Rolls. And some of the items I might have a tough time asking for -- just because of their names! Here is the complete list of “23 Australian Foods That Americans Will Never Get to Enjoy
