West Michigan Breweries Take Home Four Awards at World Beer Cup [Video]

The World Beer Cup was held this weekend in Denver, and West Michigan breweries did all right by taking home four awards.

That leads me to believe I would be a great judge.

The categories West Michigan breweries scored in are as follows --

Herb and Spice Beer:

Gold: Mango Magnifico con Calor, Founders Brewing Co., Grand Rapids

Wood- and Barrel-Aged Strong Stout:

Silver: Distinguished Eagle, Grand Rapids Brewing Co., Grand Rapids

 Old Ale or Strong Ale:

Bronze: Pilgrim’s Dole, New Holland Brewing Co., Holland

American-Style Brown Ale:

Gold: Bonfire Brown Ale, Saugatuck Brewing Co., Douglas

What IS the World Beer Cup? I'm glad you asked.

Which begs the question, how does one become a judge at the World Beer Cup?  It sounds like a great job, doesn't it?  You get to drink all those great craft beers, and I'm sure the wings are on the house as well.
