West Michigan Town Named Best Beach Town

Yahoo Travel named Saugatuck as one of its top beach towns in America! Good Call!

Saugatuck earned high points for it's large beaches and clear water, quaint shopping art attractions, and dune rides among other things in the area.

I grew up in Petoskey, which while maybe not a "beach" town exactly, reminds us how nice our west coast of Michigan. It's not just Saugatuck... what about South Haven, Grand Haven, Holland, Muskegon, Ludington, Frankfort, Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petoskey... All are beautiful, and we should be blessed to have these gems so close by!

Other  beach towns on the list are: Mexico Beach, Florida; Newport, Rhode Island; and Folly Beach, South Carolina.   I've been to Newport, too snobby!
