WFGR Artists Well Represented At This Summer's Meijer Garden Concerts

Fans of WFGR music will be jamming this summer at the Meijer Gardens. Tears for Fears, America, and Toto are just a few of the bands we play at 98.7 that will be featured in the annual series. Here's the complete run down...

The Fifth Third Bank Summer Concert Series has been announced, and some classic bands will be coming to Grand Rapids.

The series kicks off with Tears For Fears June 6. Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal played a few dates in North America last fall, but nowhere near here. Their 'Sowing The Seeds Of Love' tour date at the old Club Eastbrook was the last time I saw them back in 1992.

The Monkees (or at least two of them) will be in for a show June 8. Peter Tork and Mickey Dolenz are the original two band members still with the group.

Jackson Browne returns June 27, and other shows of interest to WFGR fans include WAR on August 10, and Toto on August 14, as well as an ABBA Tribute coming in on August 17.
