Did you know there’s an actual answer for those of us in Michigan?

There are 34 states that have no minimum age requirements for leaving your kids at home alone. Which seems kind of weird to me because if they aren't old enough to figure out how to get breakfast for themselves, I don’t think they should be left home alone.

Well, Michigan sorta agrees. The state's recommended age is 10 years old for leaving your kids home alone. It doesn’t appear to be a law as much as it is a recommendation as according to the Michigan Child Protective Law.
