Are you still struggling to find that perfect gift for dad for Father’s Day? Well, worry no more, because it seems that what most pops want can’t be purchased at a department store.

According to a new Harris Poll, the majority of dads, 57 percent to be exact, simply want to spend the day with their family on their special day. Now while that sounds lovely, there are still plenty of dads who want to see an actual gift handed to them. Of those fathers, 37 percent are hoping for some type of electronics, so you better start heading to the Apple store. Want an easier gift idea? Another 37 percent would be happy with a gift certificate, while 36 percent would love a nice home cooked meal.

Other top gifts dads for dad include:

Pictures of their children or grandchildren (36 percent)
A homemade card (32 percent)
Power tools (31 percent)
Cooking equipment (28 percent)
Sports equipment (28 percent)
But here’s some advice, forget about getting dad another tie or even a piece of jewelry. Only nine percent of dads actually say they would like jewelry for Father’s day, while only seven percent want a tie.

Ugh, guess I should go back to the store and return that tie…
