A couple of years ago, I took a check off my bucket list.

What a rush!

I didn't get selected for the show, but other who have have made their experiences known like I did.

Justin Peters, a comedian working toward a screenwriting and acting career, recalled his experience on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" for Slate magazine.

He almost won $500,000. While his appearance was life changing, it was for more than just the money.

Peters writes:

This was last October, when I recorded my appearance on the syndicated game show. For 12 questions, I had killed it. The questions seemed like they’d been put there just for me. The risks I took kept paying off. I had a great rapport with Crews, the show’s host. The audience was with me from the start, and as I continued my run, they were with me even more. They clapped. They cheered. They called my name.

"And then they stopped cheering. And all I heard was the roar of a vacuum, sucking all good feelings away."

He got wrong the $500,000 question from host Terry Crews. It was something about when it's the only time you can drink in the British House of Parliament. To be fair, he went for it and got it wrong.

That takes a lot of guts and other things to do that. I would have taken the $250,000, but that's just me.

Justin DID win $25,000. That's still not chicken feed AND he got to live the dream.
