After having lost two straight games to the Detroit Tigers, White Sox pitcher Chris Sale threw a temper tantrum and sliced up the 1976 throwback uniforms the team were to wear Saturday night.

It worked. The Sox haven't lost since.

The Chicago White Sox have suspended their star pitcher for five days after throwing a clubhouse tantrum about having to wear throwback uniforms on Saturday.

The all-star ace was angry that the team was making the players wear a 1976 throwback uniform that he said was uncomfortable. He also argued that the team was putting "PR and jersey sales" ahead of winning. Sale then took his anger out on the actual jerseys by cutting several of them so that the team couldn't wear them. They instead wore different throwback uniforms for Saturday's game.

The change in mojo apparently ignited the floudering Sox, who defeated the Tigers in the last two games of the four game set, 4-3, and 5-4.

The team's general manager Rick Hahn said in a statement, "Chris has been suspended for violating team rules, for insubordination and for destroying team equipment. While we all appreciate Chris' talent and passion, there is a correct way and an incorrect way to express concerns about team rules and organizational expectations."

In his defense, the uniforms he cut up may be the worst uniforms ever worn in the history of baseball. Check them out...
