We've reached the point where if someone from the past isn't around anymore to tour, they'll project them on a stage and go on with the tour anyway.

In what seems like a crass desire to make money off of the dead, a hologram of the late Whitney is going on tour. And I guess the best part of a hologram touring is there's no one around to throw a diva-like hissy fit.

They did if for Tupac, for Michael Jackson, and now Whitney Houston will be forever immortalized via hologram.

Thanks to Pat Houston – Whitney's sister-in-law and the president of her estate - the late singer will return to the stage as a hologram in 2016. The project is being organized by Hologram USA.

The virtual recreation of Houston will be a multimedia endeavor that will premiere at a U.S. venue and across the world. The show, which is said to be interactive, will feature Houston’s greatest hits.

Several as-yet-unannounced special guests are said to be joining in on the effort.

Here's what Michael Jackson's hologram looked like performing at the Billboard Music Awards last year.
