Priceonomics has released a list of the rates suggested by the artists' agents per show, pre-expense.   So if you ever want to book Tom Petty for your Dad's birthday, you know what it will cost you.

So who costs more, Foreigner or KC and the Sunshine Band?

Believe it or not, KC and the Sunshine Band commands $75,000 fora an appearance, while Foreigner at the MOST will run only about $50,000 dollars.

You can view the entire list here.

Some 98.7 WFGR Classic Hits bands that get the big bucks include The Steve Miller Band, who still rack up about $200k per gig, and Bret Michaels (minus Poison), who gets $75k for a solo show, which is more than Rick Springfield gets.

New Jersey is the place to be from if you're in a rock band, because Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen can get more than $1 million per show.

Madonna tops the Michigan contingent, getting between well over $1 million on average, while kid Rock can be had for between $200-300 thousand for a show.

Bob Seger and Ted Nugent aren't on the list, which means their agents keep mum on their price range.
