Bad News if you commute or drive ANYWHERE in West Michigan, the potholes are out to get you!!

WOODTV reports that Tuesday morning along 196 near Hudsonville, there are a few potholes on the westbound side between mile marker 60 & 62 that caused quite a slowdown during the morning commute.

Of course, if you’ve driven on any road or highway, you’ve noticed potholes and some larger than we’re used to!  So why hasn’t MDOT or the city or county fixed these "tire busters" yet?

According to WOODTV who talked to the Ottawa County Road Commission, they can’t fix the potholes until the rain goes away.

WOODTV says the Ottawa Co Road Commission is currently waiting for the rain to stop and the weather to warm up for more long-term fixes of the potholes.  A statement echoed by other road commissions around West Michigan.

Police did tell WOODTV if drivers damage their car hitting a pothole, to please get it as far off the roadway as possible and stay with your vehicle, not to leave it along the highway.
