Why Was Dan Aykroyd in This Video?

So I woke up this morning with this song stuck in my head...   Granted, it's a great song from Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson, with an all star lineup for music stars...  so I ask you, why was Dan Aykroyd in this?  Go to 4:19 in the video. I like Dan, he's funny. He's Elwood Blues, but really? Oh well.  Great song though, enjoy. Ray Charles is awesome too!
