A quick a brief burst of lake-effect snow could make for a messy Wednesday morning commute, according to WZZM-13 meteorologist Aaron Ofseyer.

National Weather Service forecasters have issued a winter weather advisory for all of the Lake Michigan shoreline, including some inland counties. Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Holland, and Muskegon will likely see least an inch of snow, while other areas will see higher accumulations.

Temperatures will be dropping throughout the day Tuesday and into Tuesday night, which will result in slick spots on West Michigan roads.

The advisory goes into effect at 4 p.m. Tuesday and lasts through Wednesday morning.
