    The West Michigan Whitecaps take on the Great Lakes Loons this weekend at Fifth Third Ballpark. On Friday night it will be a another FANomenal Friday! This week it will be Pokémon Night with the first 500 fans 14 & under getting a Pokémon Ash Hat. There will also be an appearance by Pikachu, Charmander and Squirtle. After the game on Saturday, stick around for the Family Fare Fireworks. And on Sunday it will be Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Family Day. The first 1,000 kids eat free! Also get autographs and play catch on the field before the game and Kids Run the Bases after the game.

    Ian Bagg started his comedy career in his native country, Canada. So, what does a Canadian do when he has done it all? He boards a train to New York City, lives in a youth hostel and ends up on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "The Late Late show with Craig Ferguson" and "Tonight Show with Jay Leno." It is not always fun and games. He was forced to do "Make Me Laugh," "Showcase Comics with Louie Anderson," "Fridays" on NBC and the "Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn." He has had 2 half-hour specials, "Comedy Central Presents" and HBO's "A Comics Climb" and has been featured in 2 seasons of "Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution" on Comedy Central. In 2015, Ian was a fan favorite and placed in the Top 5 on NBC's "Last Comic Standing."

    Learn more about your Fire Department at this free all-ages event. Activities include: Tours of the fire station, Chance to hang out with firefighters, Chance to check out a variety of fire apparatus, including our 1937 fire engine, rescue boat, ladder truck, rescue engine and Hazmat response vehicle, Demonstrations from 1-4 pm that include a vehicle extrication, rope rescue, hazardous material response devices and live fire demo, and Free refreshments. During the Fire Expo, the Fire Department’s fire safety smoke house will be set up in front of the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum to teach important safety tips.

Several of the featured homes were open on the original Tour in 1969. Three historic public buildings complete Tour’s line-up. As one of the country’s largest urban historic districts, the neighborhood will amaze you. 2019 Tour’s highlights include an outstanding Georgian beauty with 3 sun porches, 10 bedrooms, an impressive mahogany staircase and a working original Aeolian pipe organ in the music room; A shingle style charmer with a working fountain in its solarium and an 1875 Italianate that houses a 2-story wood-lined library designed to replicate one in a castle of Sir Walter Scott.

    The Grand Rapids Food Truck Association (GRFTA), will host the 3rd annual Roll’N Out Food Truck Fest on Saturday. Up to 30 food trucks and trailers will participate, making the event Grand Rapids’ largest food truck rally! In addition to the food trucks lining both sides of Ionia Avenue , the 3rd annual Roll’N Out Food Truck Fest will feature: Picnic space in Heartside Park (bring a blanket to enjoy food truck fare and music!), Entertainment from the Heartside Park stage, and Community Partner areas providing complimentary family-friendly activities. There will also be local live entertainment throughout the day!
