10 Things to Do this Weekend: May 12-14

It’s a very busy weekend here in West Michigan! The Fifth Third Riverbank Run is on Saturday, the Holland Tulip Time Festival wraps up, there are several concerts, and Sunday is Mother’s Day! Here are 10 things you can do around west Michigan this weekend — both inside and out!Some activities include the kids, while others are more for the adults.

Tulip Time
Runs through Sunday, May 14th, 2017

The annual Tulip Time Festival is back. Along with many, many tulips there are also different events scheduled throughout the festival. Parades, runs, dances, shows, events, and carnivals.Wraping up the Festival’s parade series is one of Michigan’s most spectacular parades featuring floats, Dutch Dancers, marching bands and more! With over 4,000 participants, 170 units and the longest parade route in Michigan, the GMB Muziekparade delights thousands of spectators. It begins at 2 pm on Saturday. Later on Saturday night, at 10 pm, there will be fireworks at Kollen Park.

Fifth Third River Bank Run

Runners will be putting on their running shoes and heading to downtown Grand Rapids this Saturday for the Fifth Third River Bank Run. There is a 5K Run, a 10K Run, a 25K Handcycle Division, a 25K Wheelchair Racing Division, a 25K Run (which includes 25K Relay), and a 5K Community Walk. The first race starts at 7 am
