A Job Fair this Saturday in G.R. is Doing On-The-Spot Hiring

With the state starting to slowly open back up it's great to see how many opportunities there are for work, and if you're in need of a new job (or just a job in general) you could have one by Monday!

FOX 17 reports that Cascade Engineering is holding a job fair on Saturday, March 6 and they're looking to hire people on the spot. They're looking to fill 30 entry-level production positions in three different shifts and will be doing on-the-spot interviews from 10a to 2p at the Linc Up building in Grand Rapids.

Those whom are interested can just show up between those hours without an appointment or resume. The position starts at $15.06/hr and no previous experience is needed. Second and third-shifters get premium pay for the role. Even better, you don't have to wait for a period of time for benefits to kick in like some companies. With Cascade Engineering, your benefits will begin when you do. This includes health care, 401(k), and dental insurance.

When you come in, and you start giving us your effort from day one, we’re going to give you things back on the first day,” explained Jami Farkas, director of human resources at Cascade Engineering (via FOX 17).

Farkas also told FOX 17 that background checks will be done on the day of the job fair too. However, those who have previous felonies should not worry as each case is different, and most of the time, does not affect ones ability to do the job.

What makes this opportunity exciting is that if you're hired on Saturday you'll be given the option of even starting your new gig on Monday. What a way to start a brand new week!

According to the company's website they specialize in "large part plastic-injection molding" and solve problems for manufacturers around the world, including auto, furniture, and recycling.
