This story is for all the men out there who think they are having a bad day…

Five months ago, we had a story about a 21 year old construction worker in Sydney, Australia, who had an encounter with a poisonous redback spider. (A redback spider is very similar to the black widow spider here in the United States. They even look quite similar.)

Nature was calling for this construction worker, so he went into one of the porta johns at the construction site. He sat down to do his business when he felt a very painful bite on his manhood.

A bite from a redback spider causes severe pain, sweating and nausea. The man was rushed to the hospital where he was given an anti-venom shot. He fully recovered.

So now we move forward to last Tuesday. The man is still working in construction. Once again nature called. Since his run-in with the spider a few months ago he was a little reluctant to use a porta potty again but he said they had just been cleaned...so he figured they were safe. He went into one of the portable toilets and looked around to make sure there were no nasty arachnids hiding this time.

After his visual check of the area, he sits down. He said in an interview, “"I was sitting on the toilet doing my business and just felt the sting that I felt the first time. I was like ‘I can’t believe it's happened again’. I looked down and I've seen a few little legs come from around the rim.” Once again one of his co-workers rushed him to the hospital.

The man, who only wants to be identified as Jordan, is expected to make a full recover once again. I’m guessing he stops using porta johns on the worksite!

To read more about the two attacks, here is the link to the story from the BBC.

After the second bite, he made the statement, “I'm the most unlucky guy in the country at the moment."

Yes...yes you are!!
