I see you, and I appreciate what you're doing. Thank you.

A Tip Of The Hat, And A Bigger Tip In Your Jar

Dear people working this Christmas weekend,

You have no idea how much I appreciate you. There's a chance I won't be traveling this Holiday weekend, but I have in years past, and I'm glad you've been there for me.

You're out there and I see you, behind the counter at gas stations and convenience stores, plowing roads, handling baggage and ticket counters, pulling us out of ditches with your tow trucks and protecting us.

You have given up valuable family time to work and make sure we get through to our destination. You have no idea how good it feels to see that light on, and giving me a place to grab a coffee and get fueled up.

The weather is going to be pretty bad this weekend, and tempers will be frayed. Some of you will be the ones who will be telling some of us we can't move on, because of canceled flights, closed roads and maybe because our cars are broken.

And at that point some of us may not be in the mood to express goodwill to men and peace on earth.

And you may get an earful.

May you return the insults with harmony and patience, and remember that most of us are pretty good folks 99.9% of the time.

Good luck and Merry Christmas to you, and I'll be here on the radio, chucking out the hits for part of the weekend, so from me to you, thanks for being there.

Jojo
