ArtPrize Artist Paints Death Row Inmates’ Final Meals [Photos]

Julie Green's "The Last Supper" is at Kendall College of Art and Design/Fed Galleries @ KCAD for ArtPrize Seven.

The entry shows plates with paintings of death row inmates' last meal requests.

Green has painted 600 final meal plates. She has also painted two first meal plates of people who were exonerated. She plans to keep painting 50 plates each year until the death penalty is eliminated.

The ArtPrize entry is on the 3-D Jurors' Shortlist. It also made it into the public's Top 25, but did not qualify for the final round.
