The man who practically defined the sound of summer for generations will be all over the place during 2015's warm months. Brian Wilson is going back out on the road for 17 dates across North America this summer.

The trek includes July 5 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit and July 6 in Chicago at Ravinia Festival.

The month-long No Pier Pressure Tour will commence on June 18 in Saratoga, Calif., and wind up in Seattle on June 12. Joining Wilson in the band will be Beach Boy Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, who was in the Beach Boys in the early '70s and contributed to the albums Carl and the Passions – "So Tough" and Holland, singing lead on the single "Sail On, Sailor." Wilson's opening act will be Rodriguez, the subject of the Academy Award-winning documentary Searching for Sugar Man. Information regarding ticket sales has not yet been announced.

If Wilson isn't coming to your town, you will be able to see his story in Love & Mercy, a biopic starring Paul Dano as the young Wilson and John Cusack as a latter-day version. The film will hit theaters in June.

No Pier Pressure will be released on April 7. The album features contributions by Jardine and another former Beach Boy, David Marks. Also guesting on the record are the members of She & Him, country singer Kacey Musgraves and Nate Reuss of fun. The LP's first single, "The Right Time," is already available.
