A baby penguin was born at the Cincinnati Zoo on Friday, and its keepers have decided to name it after late rock legend David Bowie.

According to ABC News, the little penguin (known as a fairy or blue penguin) hatched on Friday morning, weighing less than 2 ounces. Since the penguin's birth, the zookeepers have asked for name suggestions via Facebook and Twitter. Bowie (the penguin) was born on the same day as Bowie (the singer), so the naming choice was pretty easy. Elvis Presley was also born on January 8, but the zoo already has a penguin named after "the King."

Cincinnati Zoo Director Thane Maynard said, “The Zoo celebrates Penguin Days during January and February, so it’s fitting that a penguin chick would be the first little one to arrive in 2016.”
