Climbing Transmitter Towers is Not a Job for the Faint of Heart

This is like SUPER behind the scenes for radio. A view from the top of a transmitter.

When I say this is super behind the scenes, I mean most DJ's like myself never go to the transmitter.

We sit in a room, then for all we know magic happens and our voices appear on your radio.

Well, in this video as you see there are SUPER high towers that transmit the radio signals. ... With magic or something. When something happens on the tower and it needs to be fixed. I assume we send professional tower climbers up to stand on top of the tower and do jumping jacks while wearing go pro helmets. Until it works again.

I have no clue.

All I know is, if they depended on me to climb up the towers like these guys, well, lets just say my new home I just purchased would be paid off by the time I hit the ground. And by hit the ground I mean in a controlled manner, under my own power and not the power of gravity.

Man, this video is making my hands sweat.
