Huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the Rockford High School Marching Band who is now ranked 14th in the nation after this weekend at a national marching competition in Indianapolis.

WZZM 13 reports that the band competed for the 2018 Bands of America National Championship which took place Thursday through Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

100 high school marching bands from around the country competed in the contest, including  Lakeland, Jenison, Reeths-Puffer, Walled Lake Central and Plymouth-Canton who also performed in the semi-finals all from Michigan. Rockford Marching Band placed 14th, in the nation!

Overall, it's been a good year for the Rams. The RHS Band also recently placed 1st in their class at the Michigan Competing Band Association competition and last year they were in the national spotlight as they marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade according to WZZM 13.
