The North American International Auto Show was scheduled for September but has been replaced with an outdoor event.

The change is taking place as organizers are worried the pandemic could affect the indoor show. Instead of the annual indoor show, the event will be replaced with an outdoor exhibit at a race track in nearby Pontiac. The new event is called Motor Bella and will happen at M1 Concourse which has the track and room for 1.6 million square feet of display space.

According to the Motor Bella website,

"It's the dawn of a new automotive age and the birth of an exciting new show at the legendary M1 Concourse in Metro Detroit."

Dates for the 2021 Motor Bella for the public are Thursday, Sept. 23 through Sunday, Sept. 26.

The Executive Director of Motor Bella, Rod Alberts, says,

“This new event captures that creative spirit. It will provide new mobility experiences and increasingly innovative approaches to tapping into the industry and its products.”
