Devastating Tornado Rips Through Joplin, Missouri [VIDEO]

On Friday, I blogged about the special Storm Chasers show on Discovery channel Sunday with video coverage of some of the deadliest tornadoes in history.  But another huge tornado has stormed through Joplin Missouri over the weekend.  The AP reports the massive tornado  killed at least 89 people, but authorities warned that the death toll could climb today as search and rescuers continued their work at sunrise.  Here is  video of the aftermath of the strong tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri:

Meteorologists here in west Michigan are saying we could have more severe storms this year than normal.  It would probably be a good time to make sure you have a disaster plan for your family.  It also would be a good time to get a battery powered weather radio just in case.
