This Saturday, November 11th, 2017 is Veteran’s Day...a day set aside to thank those who have served in the military. Many different businesses will be offering up freebies and discounts to show their appreciation to our veterans for their service to our country. There may be other discounts and freebies out there, but these were the ones I could confirm. If you click on the name of the business, you can see the offer details.

Applebee’s -- Veterans and active duty service members can get a free meal from a special menu on Saturday. The menu includes butcher's meat and potatoes, chicken tenders platter, oriental chicken salad, three-cheese chicken cavatappi, fiesta lime chicken, the American standard hamburger and double-crunch shrimp.

Bob Evans They are offering a free meal for veterans and active duty military. Choose from a special menu available all day Saturday at all locations.

Brann’s Steakhouse and Grille -- Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free 6-ounce sirloin steak with two sides on Saturday.

Buffalo Wild Wings -- They are offering free meals for veterans and active-duty military on Saturday. The menu includes a free small traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries. No purchase required. The offer is valid for dine-in only.

Chili’s -- Chili’s is offering a complimentary entrée to veterans and active military on Saturday. The menu items being offered include Chicken Crispers®, Chicken Bacon Rach Quesadillas, Oldtimer® with Cheese, Classic Bacon Burger, or Chili or Soup & Salad

Chuck E. Cheese -- They are offering a free personal one-topping pizza to veterans, active duty personnel and eligible dependents with military ID, proof of service and promo code 5500. The chain also has daily military discounts.

Cracker Barrel -- They are offering veterans a complimentary slice of their Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola® Cake.

Denny’s -- On Friday, Nov. 10 veterans and active duty military can get a free “Build Your Own Grand Slam” meal. It includes a choice of breakfast items such as two buttermilk or wheat pancakes, two eggs cooked to order, two bacon strips or hash browns. Offer is good from 5 am to 12 noon.

Dunkin’ Donuts -- All veterans and active duty military can get a free doughnut.

Fazoli's -- Active, inactive and retired military personnel get a free spaghetti with meat or marinara sauce Friday through Sunday. The chain also is rolling out a new 10% military discount.

Golden Corral -- They are hosting a Military Appreciation Day on Monday, November 13th. All customers with a military ID will get a free meal.

Hooters -- Veterans and active duty military can get a free meal from a selected menu on Saturday, with a purchase of a beverage. Menu choices include 10-piece traditional chicken wings, 10-piece boneless wings, buffalo chicken salad, buffalo chicken sandwich or a Hooter burger.

IHOP -- Anyone with a military ID gets a free order of red, white and blue pancakes on Friday, November 10th. In addition, $1 from the sale of every Red, White and Blue Combo goes to support the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.

Krispy Kreme -- Present your military ID or wear your uniform on Veteran's Day and get one free doughnut and a small cup of coffee at participating locations.

Little Caesars -- Veterans and active service members receive a free $5 “Hot-and-Ready-Lunch Combo” from 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday.

Logan's Roadhouse -- Former and active-duty military members can get a free meal from special menu between 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday.

Olive Garden -- Veterans and active-duty military can get a free meal from a limited menu at Olive Garden on Saturday. The offer does not include beverages.

Outback Steakhouse -- Veterans and active duty service members get a free a “Boomin’ Onion” and non-alcoholic beverage on Saturday.

Red Lobster -- Anyone with valid military ID can get a free appetizer or dessert from a select menu on Saturday. Choices of appetizers include Sweet Chili Shrimp, Mozzarella Cheesesticks, Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp, Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms, Lobster and Langostino Pizza, or Signature Shrimp Cocktail. Dessert choices are Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, Warm Apple Crostada, Chocolate Wave, or Brownie Overboard

Red Robin -- Free Red's Tavern Double Burger with bottomless fries for veterans and active duty on Saturday.

Ruby Tuesday -- Veterans and active-duty military with valid ID can get a free appetizer valued up to $10 on Saturday.

Texas Roadhouse -- Veterans and active-duty service members can enjoy a free lunch from a selected menu on Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm. The special menu includes: 6-ounce sirloin steak with two sides, grilled pork chop with two sides, pulled pork dinner with two sides, country fried chicken with two sides, country fried sirloin with two sides, cheeseburger with fries, BBQ chicken sandwich with fries, pulled pork sandwich with fries, grilled chicken salad, and Chicken Critter Salad. Also included is a soft drink, iced tea or coffee.

TGI Friday's -- Veterans and activity duty military can enjoy a free ½ Rack of Big Ribs or Any Entrée up to $12 from 11 am to 2 pm Saturday.

 

Major retailers are also thanking veterans and active military members with special deals, discounts, and freebies for Veterans Day 2017.

Cabela’s -- Verified members of the armed services get 5% off at Cabela’s year-round, and they’ll get an extra 5% discount for eligible purchases on November 9-12.

Dollar General -- Veterans, active military, and their immediate families receive 11% off eligible purchases on Saturday. Show ID in store, or enter the promotional code VET17 online, to get the discount.

Great Clips -- Veterans and current members of the military get a free haircut on Saturday at Great Clips — or they can pick up a card valid for a free haircut at a later date. All customers getting haircuts on Veterans Day will also receive a coupon that can be given to a veteran or armed service member for a free haircut at a later date.

Target -- Now through Saturday, November 11, veterans, active military personnel, and their families can get 10% off everything at Target. The special offer, valid for members of the armed services as well as their spouses and their dependent children, requires that you register for a coupon that can be used once by Saturday. The discount applies to your entire purchase, but there are some exclusions, including alcohol and certain toys and electronics.

Toys R Us -- Customers with valid military ID get 15% off in-store purchases at Toys R Us and Babies R Us, through November 11. There is a long list of exclusions—including baby food, diapers, formula, and gift cards, as well as many video games and consoles and brands like American Girl, Maclaren, Build-a-Bear, and Nike.

Walgreens -- Show military ID and a Walgreens rewards card and you’ll get 20% off regular-priced items on Saturday at Walgreens. There are some exclusions, including prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, dairy products, and magazines.
