Ann Arbor based Domino's Pizza is rolling out a program to feed a whole bunch of front line essential employees.

Restaurants across the country are stepping up to help those in need and Domino’s is one of them. The pizza chain is launching a new initiative, Feed The Need, which will be donating around 10-million slices.

“We have a long history of feeding people during times of crisis and uncertainty,” explains Domino’s CEO and president of the Americas Russell Weiner. “When we were looking at how we could help, we knew we could use the reach of our national brand to make a difference in thousands of local neighborhoods.”

Domino’s franchisees will be giving pizza away to local hospitals, medical centers, students and their families, health departments and grocery stores. Since they know their communities best, franchise owners will be able to decide where the pizza goes and all of their six-thousand locations are expected to get in on the giving.
