Show off your talents in the streets of Downtown Holland.

The city is back at it again with their Street Performer Series this summer and they are currently taking applications for those who want to participate. The series will be held every Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. but there is no official start date as of yet.

Performers in the past have included:

  • Dancers
  • Musicians
  • Caricature Artists
  • Jugglers
  • Magicians
  • Acrobats

Clearly a variety of art that spectators can enjoy. Downtown Holland's Marketing Coordinator told Grand Rapids Magazine they are excited to bring the series back after having to cancel last year.

The Street Performer Series is one of our most popular events, and we know so many members of our community and visitors to the area look forward to it each summer...

She went on to say that they are confident they can execute a successful event while upholding health and safety guidelines.

Performers will receive a stipend at the end of the summer but are allowed to collect tips for their performance.

If you are interested in applying, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 18-years-old
  • No more than four performers per group to maintain proper social distancing
  • Adhere to any changing mandate that may pop up throughout event

You must submit your application and audition material by Friday, May 28. You will be notified if you get accepted. For any questions contact downtown@cityofholland.com or call (616) 796.1210.

Normally, the Street Performer Series runs June through August. A start date is expected to be announced soon.
