A car was pulled from Plaster Creek southwest of downtown Grand Rapids near the 1300 block of Market Ave. on Sunday, March 17.

Rescue crews were dispatched on Saturday night when witnesses reported seeing a car coming down Market Ave., jumping the curb and crashing through the guard rail, Wood TV 8 reports.

Poor conditions halted the search that night, but on Sunday, crews were able to pull the Audi from Plaster Creek using a crane.

No one was inside the vehicle.

So far, attempts to locate the registered owner of the car have not been successful.

While police continue to look for the driver, the underwater portion of the search has had to wait, as rain and snowmelt have caused the waterways to swell, Wood TV 8 reports.
