Early bird tickets are available now for Upheaval, the rock music festival that returns to Belknap Park in Grand Rapids in 2022.

If you missed the 2021 Upheaval festival, you missed one hell of a great show. The lineup featured Korn, Rob Zombie, Staind, Chevelle, Pop Evil, Skillet, Nonpoint, Gemini Syndrome, and many more.

Upheaval will return on July 15 and 16 of 2022. The Upheaval 2022 lineup announcement will come at a later date. The bands confirmed are very exciting, with the lineup already looking larger than last year's event.

Upheaval is doing a soft launch of tickets for the diehard fans who plan to be at the festival no matter who is playing.

This year there will be something new regarding tickets and a new rewards system. The rewards will give fans a chance to earn rewards by buying multiple tickets. You can redeem rewards for ticket discounts, VIP upgrades, and more.

Tickets went on sale today at 10 a.m. You can click here for a direct link to purchase your Upheaval 2022 tickets.

The VIP setup for Upheaval is one of the best I have seen at any festival. These tickets will sell out fast, so if you want a spacious area that allows you to get close to the stage, sit back a little further in a law chair, or even sit in a small grandstand, then VIP is for you. VIP has private bartenders and bathrooms and is conveniently steps from the food court.

It's awesome that Grand Rapids now has a rock festival with Upheaval, but to keep an event like this growing each year, people need to buy tickets. Festivals only get as big as the demand for tickets is. That is the same for the lineup. If you want headliners like Metallica, Tool, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, The Red Hot Chili Peppers someday, it's important to not only get tickets for the show but encourage others to get tickets.

There is room to grow Upheaval at Belknap Park, but that growth is in the people's hands. So I ask West-Michigan, how big do you want Upheaval to be?
