Gerald R. Ford International Airport Viewing Park has announced the start of Food Truck Summer Series.

The viewing park, located on Kraft Avenue just north of 52nd Street, is a beautiful spot to watch aircrafts take off and land at Gerald R. Ford International Airport. It's a popular spot during the summer months for plane enthhusiests to flock there to watch the planes come and go. The GFIA viewing park provides great view for aviation buffs and families, and now they'll be able to have some lunch while they're out there too.

The GFIA viewing park is a public park that is available for all to enjoy on a first-come, first-served basis. None of the facilities can be reserved. The GFIA view park asks viewers to "Please be mindful of the rules (posted as you enter the park) that include no alcohol, no grills, and no open fires." The GFIA viewing park has a pavilion with permanent restrooms and filtered drinking fountains, picnic tables and seating availability. Perfect for Food Trucks.

The Food Truck Summer Series is starting in April with the food trucks BIG FOOT BURGERS and KOOL BREZE. These truck will change monthly.

To get the true experience for the GFIA viewing park, you can tune your radio to 1650 AM to listen to air traffic controllers, pilots, and GFIA airfield operations staff operate. The airport viewing park is open daily from 7:30am-8:00pm. The Food Trucks will be out there on the first Wednesday of each month between April and October from 10am-4pm.
