As the all-new design of the 2015 Ford Mustang rolls off the lots of Ford dealers locally, it is also becoming an international must-have.

This is the first offering outside North America since the Mustang's debut in 1964.

The 2015 Ford Mustang became available to U.S. and Canada dealers in September 2014 and China earlier this year, and the iconic model hits Europe by this summer, Ford officials said.

It’s noteworthy that universal passion for the car is underscored by the colors customers everywhere are choosing to dress it in, with red and black the favorite hues internationally.

About 1.1 million Mustangs have been ordered online by Ford Mustang enthusiasts across Europe. There were more than 18,000 consumers in China signing up to take all-new Mustang for a test spin, Ford reported.

Mustang sales in the United States were up 32 percent in February, making it the best-selling sports car in the U.S., according to Ford.
