West Michigan Native Is The Newest Member of The Fox 17 Weather Team
The Fox 17 Weather Team has just added another member.
This member also happens to be a West Michigan native.
LET'S MEET THE FOX 17 WEATHER TEAM
Kevin Craig Is the chief meteorologist at Fox 17 and has been with the station since 2001. He's a Michigan native, born in Detroit, and one of only a few in the state that has earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society.
Candace Monacelli joined the Fox 17 News team in June 2017. Candace was born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio where she enjoyed growing up on the lake. She graduated from Kent State University and became a certified meteorologist at Mississippi State University.
Before joining Fox 17 Anthony Domol grew up in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He went to Detroit Catholic Central High School followed by Michigan State University, where he earned a degree in Education. Anthony went on to Valparaiso University where he achieved his degree in Meteorology.
Haleigh Vaughn joined the Fox 17 News weather team in June 2021. She grew up in West Michigan. Haleigh graduated from Central Michigan University with a major in meteorology, minor in mathematics, and minor in broadcast and cinematic arts. She also has her American Meteorological Society seal, meaning she is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist.
AND THE NEWEST MEMBER TO JOIN THE THE FOX 17 WEATHER TEAM IS
Reece attended the University of Oklahoma for its meteorology program and a broadcasting minor. He worked for the university broadcast program, OU Nightly, where he was a news reporter as well as a weather anchor.
Reece was also a part-time meteorologist with KSWO in Lawton, OK, where he got to cover multiple severe weather events and tornado outbreaks.

After spending the last four and a half years studying 1,000 miles away from my hometown of Middleville, I'm pumped to get my first full-time meteorologist job forecasting for West Michigan while I work toward my American Meteorological Society seal.
