Free S’mores at Meteor Shower Viewing Parties in West Michigan This Week
When it’s summer in Michigan, s’mores become one of the major food groups. There’s never a bad time to enjoy them.
The Michigan DNR has taken summer to a delicious new level by offering free s’mores during meteor shower watch parties on Friday and Saturday at some Michigan state parks!
The Perseid meteor shower is expected to put on a good show in Michigan skies from Aug. 9 – 16. The Michigan DNR is encouraging everyone to bring blankets, seating, bug spray and snacks and join them at a Meteors & S’mores party on Friday, August 11 or Saturday, August 12.
It may be possible to see 50 – 100 meteors per hour. Keep you fingers crossed for clear skies!
