Following the footsteps of JC Penney, Gap, Bed Bath and Beyond and more, GameStop is the latest retailer to announce store closures.

According to Engadget, GameStop announced they are closing 180 to 200 stores world-wide, with more closures coming.

In a release, GameStop shared dismal sales numbers for their second quarter:

GameStop’s second quarter total global sales decreased 14.3% (13.1% in constant currency) to $1.3 billion, resulting in a consolidated comparable store sales decrease of 11.6%."

GameStop, which is headquartered in Grapevine, Texas, operates over 5,700 stores across 14 countries.

Which stores will close hasn't been revealed yet.

There are multiple GameStop locations in West Michigan including two on 28th Street and one on the East Beltline in Grand Rapids, on Alpine Avenue in Walker, and on Wilson Avenue in Grandville.
