WZZM-13 reports that Steelcase and United Way are teaming to provide free tax help in Grand Rapids this Thursday.

United Way's Kent County Tax Credit Coalition has generated over $73 million in tax credits for over 61,000 taxpayers in Kent County since 2002. The program also educates participants on how to repair credit, reduce debt, budget, and increase savings.

The help is being offered to any household with an income of $55,000 or less.

200 volunteers are helping with the program people including volunteers from Steelcase's finance department, Grand Valley State University students and church groups.

The free help will be available on Thursday, February 18, from 3PM - 7PM at Steelcase University at 901 44th Street SE. No appointment is necessary.
