Want to live in a castle in Grandville?

The giant castle-like housing structure on 28th Street just east of I-196 should be ready for renters soon.

Wood-TV 8 reports that folks can start moving into one, two, and three bedrooms at the Grand Castle project by the end of the July; studio apartments are expected to be ready by August.

Construction on the project began in 2016.

According to Wood TV 8, the 15-story complex was originally expected to be ready for occupants in spring of 2017.

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration has inspected the site four times. In 2016 nine serious violations and three less serious problems were reported. No violations were found in the 2017 inspection.

According to the description on Grand Castle's website, residents can "live like royalty":

"Featuring authentic architecture, high-end finishes, and unparalleled community amenities, The Grand Castle is a destination apartment community and future hub of the Grandville community. The property showcases genuine castle construction with a 10+ story tower, pool, lakefront access, full fitness center, walking/biking trails, and more."

Studio apartments start at $700, one bedrooms range from $915 to $1,435, and two and three bedrooms range from $1,380 to $2,200 per month.

In April of 2018, a construction update on the Grand Castle was posted to YouTube by Michigan Drone Pros Photography:
