This rough winter has made the pothole situation in Michigan tougher than usual, and now a ramp that connects two major freeways in Detroit has been shut down.

This may be way more than a pothole. A five foot by six foot crater opened up on the Southfield Freeway ramp to I-96 late Monday, causing the ramp to be shut down until repairs can be completed.

The patch is only a temporary fix. Newsradio WWJ reports that MDOT says the ramp needs to be completely reconstructed, but lack of funding is holding up the process.
