Starting this weekend, John Ball Zoo will be hosting the BRICKLIVE Supersized! exhibition featuring giant LEGO animal sculptures.

So, if you have any LEGO enthusiasts in your family and want to get out of the house and enjoy the weather, this exhibition is for you.

The exhibition has traveled thousands of miles from Great Britain and will be right in our very own backyard.  BRICKLIVE Supersized! will feature over 30 massive LEGO animals scattered throughout the zoo for the entire summer.

BRICKLIVE Supersized! kicks off on March 27th (which also happens to be opening day for the zoo) and will last until September 26th and is included with general admission.

The colorful LEGO sculptures are accurate representations of the actual animal except for their size with some towering over 10 feet tall.  Each exhibit will also feature an informational sign that includes all sorts of fun facts about the animal and a look behind the scenes on how the sculpture was constructed.

And if you want to go even further behind the scenes, the BRICKLIVE YouTube Channel features some videos of how the sculptures were constructed.  Check out how they made their massive praying mantis below.
