Sad news for pizza fans.

Giordano's, best known for their Chicago-style stuffed deep dish pizza, has closed their Holland location.

Hollandsentinal.com reported the closing today after a sign was found on Giordano's front door that says:

We are sad to report that we must close our doors at this location. Thank you to all our customers who have supported us. Thanks to our hardworking staff. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience.

Giordano's opened their Holland location in 2016. It was their only restaurant in Michigan.

The first Giordano's opened in Chicago in 1974. There are now 68 Giordano's restaurants with another location planned in Ohio. 50 of the 68 restaurants are located in Illinois.

If you want a Giordano's pizza without the drive there is still hope. You can have the pizza shipped, but it will cost you at least $75.
