Gonzo’s in Kalamazoo to Become Saugatuck Brewing Company

Gonzo's BiggDogg Brewing in Kalamazoo and Saugatuck Brewing Company are merging.

Wood TV 8 reports that pending approval from Michigan Liquor Control Commission and the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, Gonzo's will become Saugatuck Brewing- Kalamazoo.

The location will still carry Gonzo's beer and Saugatuck Brewing beers will be made there too. Gonzo's staff will keep their jobs and Pint Club memberships will still stand.

According to MiBiz, Megan Scheerhorn, vice president of marketing at Saugatuck Brewing said,

This is a great opportunity for us to grow as a company and continue the legacy of making great beer at this location for the people of Kalamazoo."

Gonzo’s BiggDogg Brewing opened on S. Westnedge in the fall on 2013.

First opening on Enterprise Drive in 2005, Saugatuck Brewing company beers are now distributed in 11 states and in 7 countries outside the U.S.
