I think Google is planning world domination.

Google recently announced they were working on an entire fleet of driver-less cars. They’ve also created the smart-eyewear Google Glass and now they want to take to the skies.

According to the Wall Street Journal, rumor has it Google is working on building 180 small, high capacity satellites to go into low orbit and bring Internet access to under-served areas.

When asked about the project a spokeswoman for Google had no comment, she only said internet access “significantly improves peoples’ lives.”

Apparently this secret project is an offshoot of “Project Loon” in which Google was testing access to broadband internet connections provided via weather balloons.

Seriously…what will Google do next?
