West Michigan will be losing another store this spring.

Gordmans, the discount department store, will be closing its location at Wilson Town Center in Wyoming and another in Saginaw. WOOD-TV reports that it will close by the end of May.  The Wyoming location opened in 2014.

The parent company, Stage Stores, is planning on shuttering 200 of the stores across the nation and has already began the process.

The company has also laid off dozens of corporate employees across its business units... (via Retail Dive)

The company tells WOOD-TV the 12 other stores in the state will remain open.

Affected employees will get the option of a severance package or an offer to work at another one of their stores.

The news comes after Art Van announced they were permanently closing after over 60 years in business.
