Saturday and Sunday both brought record high temperatures to the Grand Rapids metro, and it looks like the warmth will stick around for a little bit longer.

I hope you got to enjoy the gift of 70-plus temperatures for the first week of November. After Wednesday, who knows when we'll see 70 degrees again. It may not be until May. Or June.

But the bike trails and sidewalks were packed this weekend as folks took advantage of the record warmth.

High temperature records were set in almost every Michigan city this weekend, including Grand Rapids, which hit high marks both Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The party will last through Tuesday, before the temperatures slowly start descending to normal. Rain is also in the forecast this week, so it was fun while it lasted, and it fell on a weekend, so that was a bonus.
